What distinguishes us from our counterparts in the industry is that we own, manage and operate the highest-rated Cafe and Coffee Shops in the heart of London.
The breakfast + brunch menu celebrates cuisines from the Middle East region with influences from Tel Aviv’s street food to Syrian delicacies and to Palestinian comfort food not forgetting the inclusion of a dash of East London to the mix.
Created by Cemal in 2016 with the support of his business partner Ali Kalkan, Drury 188-189 is a chill out cafe in the hustle and bustle of Central London. Cemal created a space with no Wifi connection to encourage an environment where people can disconnect to reconnect, where people can have natural conversations and hook up without necessarily involving the internet. Afterall, before the internet intruded, people were making friends.
Launched in August 2018 as a franchise unit, the Hackney branch offers an amazing space which was converted from a corner shop. We offer excellent health foods and a creative space for the locals to meet, talk, eat and relax. Within a very short time interval, we have grown to become the most popular and trendy space-cafe in the area.
In Feb 2017, Cemal was approached by the UK’s largest and oldest language school to offer cafe services for the school. We pride in working alongside a fascinating international language school and offering their students a space where they can learn, study and also take a break from their busy student lives to unwind in a cosy atmosphere.
Cemal took on Beso Covent Garden as a Moorish Spanish restaurant and converted the restaurant’s original concept from what it was to a modern and classy Italian Kitchen. All the products used were organic and were sourced from local suppliers. We launched delectable hand-made pastas with traditional Italian dishes and flavours that came laced with modern touches. Our big break came while we were just 8 weeks old and we won the Best London Restaurant by the BRA Awards in 2019.
2nd branch opened at 149 Woodberry Grove in May 2021. The breakfast + brunch menu celebrates cuisines from the Middle East region with influences from Tel Aviv’s street food to Syrian delicacies and to Palestinian comfort food not forgetting the inclusion of a dash of East London to the mix.
